How we test and check prices

What we check. For every tool on this site we read the vendor's own pricing page and record each plan's price, billing period (monthly or billed annually) and limits: tracked keywords, projects, users, audit pages and trial terms. Each page shows the date of that check.

Prices. We show US dollar list prices without VAT, as published by the vendor. Prices in your country can differ because of currency and tax. We never convert or round a vendor's price.

Derived numbers. When we compare value, for example price per tracked keyword, we show the calculation (price divided by the plan's limit) so you can check it.

Hands-on tests. We add our own test results (the same keywords tracked in each tool, the same site audited in each tool) as we run them, with the date and setup. Until a page has test results, it says only what the vendors publish.

Re-checks. Pricing is re-checked at least every 90 days and whenever a vendor changes its pricing page.

Affiliate links. Some links are affiliate links. They never change the prices, limits or verdicts we publish, and we name the better choice when another tool fits a reader better.
